Solid cask strength sherry whisky, but not very lasting or exciting.
Tried it again today after a long time and I like it a lot better than it seems the first time I gave it 87 points. Likes its purity and that it's not over-finished.
A simple sweet sherry board, complex for its age, no surprises but well done.
The percentages are well integrated, but already clearly perceptible without stinging too much. Minimal spiciness behind the sweetness.
The second time around, I don't really feel like it's Brett anymore. The sherry is still noticeable, but it strikes me as comparatively clean, slightly spicy, and not overly fat.
Already very strong despite the water, but not spritty. On the palate more spiciness and less sweetness than the nose. Remains a little bitter.
With 8 drops of water to 3cl really well balanced for the key data.
Medium short and more sharp than the nose, but still within limits.
