- Love it or hate it. A must try for every whisky afficionado.
No craft presentation: E150, chill filtered, 40%abv. But peaty, and at young enough age to be pungent.
No water: wet smoke. Iodine. Hint of floral sweet.
With water: less smoke. Dry. Sweet heather.
Smokey arrival. Citrus and grassy development with smoke at the back of the tongue.
Long dry finish, smokey.
- The whisky with which I started my journey. It reminded him easier and more fruity. Instead, a real peat monster attacked me. Incredibly intense and long lasting.
First medically, tar, tree resin, later sweet in the middle of the glass, delicately fruity on the edge of the glass
Peat, hint of pear compote, sweet and oily
Laaaaaaang, sweet, oak flavors
- One of my favorites
- One of my favorite all time drams!
Smoke, Jodium, Sweet and full bodied
Long, Sweet and Smoky
- The 2009 batch of 10yo is undoubtedly a very good investment pleasure :)
Very nice nose with a beautifully integrated peat. Intense nose with liquorice and fruits: mango, red fruits, and especially banana.
The mouth is a little watery to attack, we are on the smoke and the earth. Then, very quickly, the power is revealed with marine notes, salt and peat. The opening and aeration help, this malt keeps getting better, the nose is more and more complex with more and more fruity and the mouth is to match.
Very long and in the extension of the mouth.
