The nose would easily be 5 points below the end result, the mouth would save a lot.
    • Nose
Rarely had so intense Old Bottle Flavor on your nose, despite a freshly opened bottle with no level problem, with a lot of patience and time a little milk chocolate, camphor, ricola, pear, quince, otherwise very dusty and grassy
    • Taste
Brilliant American Oak sweetness emerges, pure apricot, honeydew melon, toffee, vanilla, marzipan, dessert wine, lychee, cognac, grapes, banana jellies
    • Finish
Pure sugar candy, light, sweet oak, toffee, sweet pear, honey, medium length

    • Nose
Rather closed, wood extracts, resinous, touches of fresh grapes, the alcohol is fierce.
    • Taste
Mellow and sweet, quite herbal, herb soup, herb medicine, baked vegetables, very quaffable.
    • Finish
Long, herbal and resinous, dark chocolates, cocoa beans.

  4. ARDBERG scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

This definetely improves with air, though does not touch the 90s for my taste. To me the white oak is just too loud and spicy. Though I just had 5cl to savour, fortunate people with a full bottle and more tries might argue otherwise...

    5cl sample.

sergeNose: curiously grassy, with dried oranges. Kind of absent, dry and very grassy.
Mouth: sweeter and much better than on the nose. Mint and milk chocolate,
liquorice and oranges, Turkish delights. Very nice but not as stunning as many
recent small batches but improves a bit after long breathing.

【First】: Amber roasted coffee with deep reddish (+) Grape (giant peak) (+) Upper odoriferous momentum There is no over-awkward apricot (+) Modest Sherry feeling 【Middle】: Body is firmly wheat bell type blueness Plants sensation Milk coffee with a strong sweet prune time (smooth throat) nut almond 【Finish】: Returning priority Nose omission firmly Dry falling edge is standing edge (++) Noble http://www.whiskylink.com/?p=19686

  7. The Macallan scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Not a bad dram, if I had to chosse between the 30y old Glengoyne or the 1968, I would choose the 30y old. The standard 30y old has much more flavors to my liking.
    • Nose
      Apple, coconut and slightly sharp.
    • Taste
Slightly round, dry, vanillins and a light sweetness.
    • Finish
Very good with a powerfully after glow.
