I am not the biggest fan of peated Caol Ila, I actually believe their unpeated style shows much more character! This however, is one of the first peated versions I actually really enjoyed, and actually showed some typical Caol Ila character!
    • Nose
A nice briny peat nose, with citric elements, some exotic fruits later on and some hints of tobacco.
    • Taste
A very nice exotic fruitiness combines with lemon peel and smoke. The ABV helps the dram tremendously, giving it the punch it needs.
    • Finish
A little short, a little bitter with some brine, some grapefruit and some more lemon peel.

he is very good drinkable undiluted, otherwise: mhh is probably not my stuff - I think even after 10cl there is no added value to a Laphi QC I get to 25-30 ¬
    • Nose
mineral lemon, mineral oil, malt, acidity, cinnamon, bright juicy boards - with more time the nose is more acidic than sweet
    • Taste
sweet, oily consistency with a mixture of licorice, machine oil and sea air - stone powder, ice candy, oak flavors are very intense vegetable spicy without becoming bitter, for me he could be a bit sweeter - would help the balance
    • Finish
Pudding with mint from a wooden bowl, citrus and grapefruit peel remain medium on the tongue
