Wow, what a (nasal) sweet seduction! The nose is extremely influenced by sweet cereal flavors, which seems rather monotonous over time, but also seductive and demanding. The taste and aftertaste are dominated by dark and astringent (cereal) aromas, which rest powerfully for several minutes in the mouth and leave a slight biting sensation on the tongue and palate. Although the sweet aromas of the nose often appear in the aftermath, nevertheless the taste or aftertaste has a rather tart and dark effect. This older Grain from a Bourbon barrel is a welcome change for me, the sweet and harsh components are a varied contrast. I like it.
    • Nose
A fruity sweet and beguiling aroma rises from the Premium Snifter while a multitude of thick drops sticks to the glass wall and then flows relatively quickly back into the glass. Oh, yummy ... the nose is extremely sweet and fruity, milk chocolate and dusty cocoa powder are pervaded by sweet vanilla and creamy caramel. Tough and sticky toffee is sprinkled with a touch of cinnamon, a wonderful cereal note is dominant in the foreground. The grain flavors become more and more intense and "dustier" over time, somehow the grain and the ears appear lightly roasted. Gorgeous, I could smell forever on the sweet and seductive nose ...
    • Taste
The first sip is then unexpectedly not characterized by sweet and fruity aromas, but is dominated by tart and slightly roasted cereal flavors. At the second sip it looks different again. Sweet vanilla and milk chocolate flare up briefly and release their sweet and seductive aroma again before dark gray cereal flavors envelop the tongue relatively quickly. Slightly harsh, the dark aromas rest on the tongue, slowly a sharp pepper note creeps from the palate to the tip of the tongue, a pinch of salt and dark wood tones clothe the palate with a plump warmth.
    • Finish
The dark and harsh wood and grain aromas rest a felt eternity on the tongue and on the palate. Powerful and powerful, the dark and tart aromas dominate the finish, slowly the mouthfeel becomes creamier with hints of butter and hints of walnuts.

I liked it very much. Of course, he can not compete with even older Grains. He lacks a bit of authority and intensity.
    • Nose
Aromatic oak notes. Fresh wood dust and wood chips. Tree resin. Vanilla Semolina pudding. Then fruit notes. Reminiscent of apricots. Rather shell than the pulp. Also citrus. Rum notes. In addition, white chocolate with cornflakes.
    • Taste
The mouth is spicier and tart than expected. The fruit is only hinted at. A little rose water. Sweet (something like agave syrup) lightning, before it gets spicier. Woody spice and cereal notes. Therefore, it is now also drier and a little bit bitter. Dark chocolate.
    • Finish
      Tonic Water. Grapefruit. Hopfen.
