    Whether it is the distillery character of Dailuaine or the used Hogshead barrel from the bottler. The malt is good! You can see his 19 years in the barrel. He is calm, not quick-tempered. The flavors are transported relaxed to the nose and mouth of the connoisseur. The play between sweetness and spice is very pleasant in the nose as well as in the mouth. Only the finish doesn't quite keep up. A little (more) sweetness would have been more suitable for my taste.
    • Nose
      In terms of color, you could almost think that you have a Riesling or Chardonnay in the Premium Snifter. Very few legs move very slowly down the glass wall.
      When you smell it in for the first time, a nice, balanced, acidic, sweet bouquet of light fruits, such as ripe green apples and pears and wildflower honey.
      After the first sip, the fruit ripens in the nose and the sweetness also gets more depth. Maybe mixed with some vanilla. Some grain is now also mixing.
    • Taste
      Creamy mouthfeel. Slight sweetness at the beginning, together with the fruit influences from the nose. Then peppery, ginger, nice and spicy. But not too intensely. The thing continues to be nicely balanced. Malty towards the end.
    • Finish
      Peppery it goes into the finish. Slightly bitter at the end, a little hazelnut or almond skin. Medium length finish which then turns into a little oak.

    A great, ausdeucksstarker, mature very good Speyside Malt!
    [Color] white wine;
    • Nose
      a lot of vanilla, caramel, cereals, malt and honey;
    • Taste
      full of intense fruity onions, pears, green apples, lemons, sweet (sugar) and increasingly spicy (pepper, ginger);
    • Finish
      a long, spicy finish; Drying out;

    N: A moderately sweet, putty-ish and soapy start, but the soap note soon lifts to become more floral soon after.
    T: With more putty-malt action, it’s soapy again, but water totally sorts that out.
    F: Short and a little waxy, concluding with deep putty/buckwheat paste roots.
    C: Neat: 82/83, yet 86 points with water.

    Bottler's tasting notes:
    Colour: Golden.
    Aroma: Full, complex, and sweet: glazed pineapple and strawberries topped with fresh vanilla cream and sticky brown sugar, gracefully balanced by a menthol edge.
    Taste: Warming white pepper gives way to a layered sweetness: luxurious chocolate truffle with the liveliness of ripe nectarine, mango, green apple, and juicy pear.
    Finish: Delicate, lingering oak subtly underscored with fresh ginger.
