Whisky Reviews for Glen Moray 2007 TWCC

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.00 points

  1. Bosi scored this whisky 87 points Specialist

For me, Glen Moray is one of the all-purpose weapons among Scottish distilleries, as the distillate works well with almost all barrels. This bottling will probably have been a first fill bourbon or a very active refill.
The great fruit bouquet in the nose is followed by a taste and finish in which one notices that it is only a 10-year-old whisky. Nevertheless, a really delicious summer whisky.
    • Nose
      90 90
What a fruit cocktail in the nose: apples, pears, bananas and peaches. The icing on the cake is a maraschino cherry. There is some walnut ice cream behind the fruit. After some time the whisky takes us to a flower meadow in spring.
    • Taste
      85 85
Without water, vanilla and pepper dominate the taste. With water are added pear, fruit sweetness, honey and shortbread.
    • Finish
      85 85
The long finish has powdered sugar, fruit salad with honey and sugar cake.
