A 21 year Longrow, and with a price to match.
N: a restrained nose. Some wool, cardboard, creamy and only slightly earthy. Some chestnuts. Not your typical barn of a longrow.
P: in the mouth it starts to come alive, it’s oily, mouth coating, more chestnuts, foie gras, buttery, damp leaves, toffee
F: oily, buttery, wool, toffee, coffee, earthen, elegant. Slightly waxy.
With a better nose this would really be exceptional. It’s still very good as is, but I’m not sure worth the enormous price tag. A very soft and elegant Longrow. Would love to see some older longrow around. Of course, who wouldn’t?
