Hmm rather interesting. Has a lot of that grass like feel and earthy character. Almost likely to be carved from the lands of Iceland.

      Very weak finish.

    • Nose
Vanilla, moist forest, anise, spicy, hay
    • Taste
Coffee, mocha, vanilla, spicy and caramel
    • Finish
Medium to long with coffee notes

Something very different, and the malt is only 3 years !!!!!!

  3. Xaver did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

I was hoping it would taste that way. Fresh, clear, dry, harsh. So I wanted that.
    • Nose
      Colour:
      Dark, rich gold

      Nose:
He starts very clear and fresh. Then follow herbes. Dried fruit. Towards pear, mirabelles, oranges. Rough landscape ..... dry grass and foliage. Dry earth and moist coniferous forest. A slightly salty yeast note is in the background.
    • Taste
Clear, slightly peppery onset. Immediately cinnamon star biscuits with herbs on top. Spelled biscuits and nice mineral. The second sip is accompanied by pear brandy, cumin and sour plum. Salty yeast dough and a little alcoholic.
    • Finish
Medium. Herbs, nutty bitterness and slightly fruity. But at the end nice and oily.

  4. gallfux did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

Unusual. Not necessarily good though. Definitely interesting. Has some unconventional notes in it. But I do not need a bottle of it. The sample was enough.
    • Nose
That is different. Cheese. Malt. Then a lot of flower meadow. Daisies. Kohlrabi. Vanilla. A little creamy sweets. Moldy coconut milk. Citrus fruits.
    • Taste
Herbal honey. Many cereals. Vanilla Semolina pudding. Thyme. Juniper. Tobacco. Nut. Implied smoked ham. Then a bitterness reminiscent of hops.
    • Finish
Cereal starch. Yeast. Cinchona bark. Snuffbox.

  5. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

A little more filigree than the Young Malt, more ethereal, more direct. The orange is quite present. Definitely an exciting whisky interpretation. What's your own and delicious? Let's see how it develops.
    • Nose
Very fruity, orange, but also resinous, rosemary, pine needles. Filigree than the Young Malt, but same handwriting.
    • Taste
In the mouth then rather tart, ethereal, citrus peel.
    • Finish
In the finish then sweet, orange, resinous, a little musty.

  6. pianoman scored this whisky 75 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Fermented apples, hay, chamomile tea. Lime, damp cellar. Sawdust, old copper coins.
    • Taste
Hay, some pepper, sage. Cough syrup, stomach drops. Liquorice, burnt pizza dough, slightly bitter.
