  1. peatbogger scored this whisky 86 points Specialist

There is no doubt about the origin, and I even find it slightly better than the 12YO OB.
    • Nose
      85 85
This is oh so spot on Pulteney.
      A fresh inviting fruitbowl.
Tons of apple and pear, a touch of lemon and hint of vanilla.
Freshly cut grass, and just a touch of smoke.
    • Taste
      86 86
      Light, sweet and delicious fruityness.
Delivery on the scents of the nose, maybe with a very sweet note of vanilla to be more present.
    • Finish
      87 87
Being so light it got a fantastick oily texture that stick into the finish. From midway and out there is a pleasant growth in spice. Never agressive, just firm.

This may not be to everyone's taste as they could find it overly sweet but I found it to be fine. Could I drink it all night, probably not. This was a sample courtesy of Peatbogger.

Parma violet sweets, apricot jam, tinned tropical fruit, wild flowers and some sort of soda drink like lemonade. A lot of confectionary on the nose as if I'd walked into a sweet shop.
    • Taste
      82 82
The texture is strange, it starts off as a little thin but for just a second, then it has a lovely little punch and it's quite a fruit punch. There is a little burn but it's a nice warm burn. This is quite sweet but not overly sweet or sickly sweet.
    • Finish
      79 79
The finish is rather short and It leaves a sherbet dryness but that is perfectly fine.

  3. Falnor scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

A nice pulteney that isn't to far from other bourbon OB's.
    • Nose
Fresh and fruity. Quite the springtime whisky. Young flowers blooming in the field. New grass fields and slightly mineral. Apples and pears with vanilla.
    • Taste
The same fruit like apples and pears with some yellow melon. Biscuit or other grain cookies.  Liquorice or a saltiness. Cooked fruit and citrus.
    • Finish
Pear with other yellow fruit. Middle long finish.

  4. Allandale scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

    A middle long  aftertaste.
    • Nose
Yellow fruit very present. Fresh  cotton sheets. Flowery as well.
    • Taste
Sweet fresh, with vanilla and cocos. Spicy and grassy notes, with hints of maritime  notes.
    • Finish
Clean and pure. The herbs and spices stick on your tongue.
