Whisky reviews for Lagavulin 12-year-old Islay Malt

One user has left a review for this whisky. Average rating is 90.67 points.

  1. VISION_CHEN scored this whisky 89 points Expert Junior

Nose: The aroma score is undoubtedly high. Fresh oranges, smoked, citrus, roasted nuts, fruits in old sherry barrels, herbs, meat, honey, balance and complexity are all perfect. But the expressiveness was insufficient, and many points were deducted.

Drink: No irritation, very silky taste, moderate oiliness, bitterness of herbs, jelly grass, tangerine peel, chocolate, coffee, peat, the end rhyme is ripe mango, big pineapple and rising peat , Lasts shorter.

Overall: We selected five bottles of Lagavulin 12-year-old with different bottling years between 1980 and 1986 and put them together for comparison. Cryceela, who was drinking with me, felt that this 1986 Italian imported Green label was too gentle, like a well-behaved kitten. It said that this bottle of wine could only get 87 points from her. In addition, my friend Gene also thought it was so-so, with bitter body, no highlights, and even a little disappointed. I also feel that my expressiveness is lacking, and my body has no vitality. I gave it 89 points.
