classic Speyside, very fine for everyday wear
    • Nose
floral, malty, intense fruit pot pourri, honey, vanilla
    • Taste
a little salty, the oak now brings a slightly darker shade into the fruit
    • Finish
Liquorice, molasses, liquorice, of course the oak, flowers and their honey, dry, the alcohol strength now has an impact

Candied oranges, vanilla, apricot jam. Panna cotta and elderberry flowers.
    • Taste

Oily, sugar coats notes of burnt figs and oak, as well as barley. Hints of almond milk, honey, and toffee. Easy and enjoyable.
    • Finish
      87 87
Dries up a bit, which is nice, dampens the sweetness. Good balance, long warmth.

A field of flowers on a rainy summer evening, a fruity and malty sweetness and a hint of spicy smoke comes into the mouth. Very drinkable, smooth and easy. A bit dry on the palate (well >50v%), starts with a fruity and malty sweetness and ends with some bitter wooden notes. Nice, mouth coating, simply an everyday dram.

    • Nose
Oak and vanilla. Pineapple. A little salty. Malt and a hint of chocolate.
    • Taste
Oily. Peppery and spicy and a little salty. Also the sweetness of vanilla.
    • Finish
Delicious bitterness (pepper). After that the sweetness from vanilla and some candied fruits. Medium.

An interesting expression. Much better than its 'regular' 15 year old brother to my opinion. The slight earthy note in the taste disappears quick enough for me not to be put off by it, after which a nice, warming sweetness remains.
    • Nose
Vanilla and oak. High alcohol makes it sharp. Better with water. More fruity notes then, much more accessible.
    • Taste
Vanilla again, also something like clay or maybe damp wood. Sharp again, but this disappears after a while. Very tingly and warming. Fruit at the end.
    • Finish
Could be longer. Vanilla and malt now, oak as well. The dampness is gone now, making space for more fruit. A good thing, too. Dies out quicker than I would have hoped.

Much better than expected. Needs water.
    • Nose
Neat: Malty and earthy, with a hint of vanilla and honey. With water: The same as Neat, but now working together better.
    • Taste
Neat: Powerful and sharp. Oak, vanilla and a weird grass flavor. With water: More vanilla, less grass.
    • Finish
Neat: Very long, burns my throat long time after drinking. With water: Still long, but a little smoother, to the better.
