    • Nose
      81 81
Quite lively, a little vinous, not too sweet, with a vegetal, green fruits. Nothing transcendent.
    • Taste
      86 86
Mouth more pleasant, although quite sweet. Together slightly candied, on the almond, the cake baked, the reasons dry. Creamy texture.
    • Finish
      84 84
Medium final, easy, sweet, always on this cooked cake character.
An honest Tomatin, easy, but nothing extraordinary.

    Strawy, spicy, not very aromatic.
    I would have expected more.

N- At the bottling strength of 46%, starts off very shy with whispering of nutty, light liquorice, berries and buttery pastries. Then toffee, floral, ripe strawberry, smoked meat on a rusty sphere with very subtle highland herbs smokes linger. Commendable on the mellowness and gentle nature. (87/21)

P- Better grip and upfront. Dark chocolate with raisin, well matured with depth and roundness. Full mouthfeel with spicy dried fruits return to the nose. Sweet herbs, liquorice and minty. (90/22)

F- Long, dark red fruits balanced with rich oak dryness for lasting and broad finish. (87/21)

B/B- 90/22 Need patient with this one, and is actually very good.

    Cereal- 1, Fruity- 2, Floral- 1, Peaty- 1, Feinty- 0, Sulphur- 0, Woody- 4, Winery- 3, Spicy- 1

    Weighted Rate- 86pt

  13. wisekyofcourse scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

    port finish
    • Nose
"sweet" sherry with vinous fruits, a little mold and spices, vanilla
    • Taste
it is greedy, pastry chef, vanilla is present, the fruits a little bland, cooked, vine sensation (mulled wine or vinegar is according), scent of dry PX
return of more cooked fruits, more black (grapes, berries, cherries), and some wood too
    • Finish
average, monolithic but that lasts long enough finally
