Whisky Reviews for Edradour 2008 BkSp

- Subtle and beautiful with small fruit accents, a dram that grows in your glass. Water mint and mild dry finish. A bit expensive though, in my opinion 50 euros would be a justified price.
Sherry, raisin, plum. Subtle.
Soft and sweet candy. In the taste are ripe raspberry and plum. In the mouth it is creamy, full and greasy, like butter. A nice silky mouthfeel.
- Of course a very tasty whisky, but the smell is significantly fuller than the final taste. Too bad that it is flattened to 46%, so it does not really stand out.
Oei, Red fruit, prunes, raisins, leather, chocolate, coffee. Spicy also, and some swallow tobacco. The influence of the sherry cask is unmistakable, promising fragrance!
Hm, and then immediately clear that the body is not going to meet the expectations of the smell ... Of course the flavors come back, chocolate, coffee, tobacco. Slightly provocative, but all in all a bit flat. The smell caused a sherry bomb to suspect, but at 46% that is actually not possible and that is also apparent, I would have wanted to see it on CS ...
Light peppers still, now also a bitter, grapefruit and dark chocolate. Reasonably long.
