  1. Ostap scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Interesting, unusual aroma, dominated by sour farm notes. The stylistics are as close as possible to Campbeltown. Smooth and delicious. Suitable for both tasting and bar.
    • Nose
Saturated, sour peat, pleasant fruity sweetness, beer notes, farm (cowboy with goat and animal skin aromas), old sheepskin, wax, candle, green apple, vanilla, roasted peanut in sugar, meaty crunchy meat , mushroom julienne, protein cream from the hoarfrost cake, unripe strawberries. Rich aroma. A barely palpable sympathetic courage hints at a young age.
    • Taste
Salty, pepper, smoky (even down the throat), berry, sweet and sour, with meat, mineral, honey.
    • Finish
Pepper, warming, smoky, sweet, fruity, dry, long lasting, vanilla, oak, mineral and honey. There is a certain severity.

Nose: sweet, dried fruit shop, dark raisins, dates, figs, dried pear, walnut shell, fallen autumn leaves mixed with damp earth, caramel, minerality, subtle hint of smoke, ash.

Taste: bright, spicy, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, anise, prunes, dark raisins, all well flavored with smoke, minerality, chalk, wood.

Finish: medium length, continuation of taste, the same set of spices and spices, raisins, prunes, pleasant woody tannins, chalk, light smoke.

    Score: 85

Bottom line: a very worthy edition of Edradour, a kind of Christmas cake with spices and raisins. In a freshly opened bottle, there was a hint of vivacity and a feeling of youth, but from about half of the bottle it was all gone.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, whipped cream, lemonade, sand, whiff of sea air, and Early Grey tea. I like it.

Not a bad malt, but the aroma did not really suit me, not my profile. The taste is quite good.

for its age I find the malt to be quite complex and round. Very tasty and the smoke is well integrated and not intrusive.
    • Nose
Smoke and lots of sherry aromas, dark and dried fruits, some pepper, spicy, some plums. Despite “only” 46% alcohol is quite present.
    • Taste
lots of sherry aromas, dark fruits, a bit spicy and yet slightly sweet, malty in the background, oak comes, slightly bitter
    • Finish
Spicy finish with light oak notes, a bit bitter and slightly dark fruits in the background, medium-long.

A very successful marriage of the barrels, whereby the smoky influence of the Ballechin clearly dominates the result.
    • Nose
      86 86
Immediately the impression of greasy bacon smoking in a pan that is too hot, but the smoke also has an impact of coal briquette and cold, sooty stovepipe. Sherry and raisins are included and the oak is also very beautiful.
    • Taste
      84 84
A nice sweetness of red grapes and dark berries. The smoke remains without dominating. The spiciness of the oak makes your mouth dry, a hint of chocolate.
    • Finish
      84 84
Medium in length, the spiciness takes over more and more, and the smoke is also retained for a long time.

Do not rush with him, let him stand and open.
Nose: immediately from the bottle slightly miserable ... It stood for about 10 minutes and the pity left.
Wine, dried fruits, raisins, light smoked smoke, dark honey, leather
Taste: pleasant, salty, smoked, dried plums, raisins
Finish: weak, but pleasant ... Salt and raisins, with the departure of black pepper.

85/100. The perfumed has never lied to me and came through this time too strong. I like the rest very much, could have become an 87.
    • Nose
Intense smoke, phenolic, herbs and essential oils, burnt honey, dried hay. Only with time in the glass the fruit comes through. Raisins. Pear. Bitter orange marmalade. From the burned honey became with time lovely meadow honey.
    • Taste
Eucalyptus, cold but aromatic smoke, incense sticks, sage. Sweet! Fennel, ouzo. Smoke very present. Perfumed notes.
    • Finish
Smoke becomes warmer, slightly phenolic. Many herbs. Earthy to ethereal. Burnt fruit. A little barrel seasoning.
