Very creamy and soft - Darjeeling tea with brown sugar candy, lovage, iodine, caraway
    • Finish

      Despite its mildness surprisingly long

  3. Zinni scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

There is something awesome about pre-WWII whisky ... but this one actually lives up to expectations.
    • Nose
      93 93
Metallic, oxidized copper, some gas pipe, dry and clean sherry, OBF without end.
    • Taste
      91 91
Mild and amazing fresh wood, milk chocolate, mint, marzipan and a little paraffin.
    • Finish
      90 90
Dry, again a bit metallic, tart and dusty.

  4. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

I just can not give it any more, rather less ... has certainly lessened again over time, but it lacks the power and too much dryness.
    • Nose
Pure Earl Gray tea in the nose, extremely delicate body, the only 40% are unfortunately very noticeable, at the same time he is through the age like an open book, as the notes would be presented to a single on the tray, fine sherry honey, old parchment paper, hints of eucalyptus, long-dried apricots, ancient leather, red apple peel, linen bags and old candle wax (almost Clynelish-like in these 2 notes), stone oven bread and moss pear
    • Taste
Very silky and rather thin body, almost watery, much Earl Gray again, now also Brenneseltee, fennel, thyme, camphor, chamomile, dry tobacco leaves, linen sacks and apple peel, some peat pear and rye bread
    • Finish
Again getting drier, already too much, no more fruit, dried-up tea bags, tobacco and autumn leaves, medium to long

  5. Griller76 scored this whisky 92 points Expert Junior

Too bad, after the long time he lets his dereinstige size sometimes only guess.
    • Nose
      94 94
bitter sherry, green unripe gooseberries, petrol, harsh kitchen spices, dried herbs like thyme and rosemary, etc., frankincense, old leather of a wing chair in the British Gentlemens Club.
    • Taste
      90 90
mild, almost watery due to the low alcohol content, light sherry, in itself very flat, disappointed compared to. the nose, onset alcoholic burning, black tart currant, cigar ashtray
    • Finish
      91 91
Burning decreases, broccoli, several days ago truncated autolytic myrrh branches
