Whisky Reviews for Wolfburn No. 270

- Very surprising for such a young whisky, intense vanilla and a hint of coconut, dangerously tasty. Very well done.
- Re- taste, better then Langskip, but not more then 80 pts.
- Air is good for the whisky, then on the nose it is clear on the fruity side and interestingly complex.
However, it still looks quite wild and impetuous (is "only" a 3-year-old), although it does bring a good portion of fruit with it.
['really not bad'-whisky --- but do I need a bottle?]
at the beginning he seems quite closed. When he had a little air to breathe, bright fruits appear: apricot, ripe pear.
A little vanilla appears in the background, which gets stronger over time, but still remains subdued. After a while, tropical (unripe) fruits are added: banana, mango, pineapple; I also have the association with coconut, albeit very weakly.
I still have a light spice, fresh sawdust and something herbal in my nose.
very soft to start with, but the flavor builds up quickly and turns into a creamy consistency. The tongue becomes coated and becomes drier.
The fruits from the nose do not quite come through in taste, even though they are there. He's not as cute as expected.
The finish is medium-long, with the (oak) spice lingering the longest on the palate and on the tongue. It gets "earthy" and dry at the back. A note of vanilla comes quite late.
Sweet, fruity (peaches, tangerines, oranges, pears), coconut, vanilla
Fruity (apples, pears, apples), sweet, honey, vanilla, leather
Medium long, earthy, spicy, oaky
- This age and the price. I have a problem with that.
Although I'm not a friend of under 12 years old.
A gifted gift makes it possible :-)
Spicy or alcohol? Sweet vanilla and a bit malty. Yes, he can promise sweet. OK.
Ok, it's not as hard as expected, but very spicy. A certain sweetness towards bright fruit. Well chosen.
For wine I would say very dry. He stays medium long and disappears slightly woody bitter. I would not buy. Thank you
- Well done, no flaws. No crazy complexity. Vanilla, banana. Touched pretty delicate. Not very singular.
