Also the regular bottling is as good as the miniature - very balanced and drinkable - great!
    • Nose
      93 93
Plenty of old books, fresh melon and strawberry jam, fine peat and smoke, little citrusy, seabreeze, hints of iodine, whiffs of honey and tobacco - great!
    • Taste
      94 94
Little punchy, oily, creamy, subtle sweetness, fruity, little salty, pineapple, pear, little melon, more fine peat and smoke, hints of sherry wood, cigar tobacco - excellent!
    • Finish
      92 92
Medium long, warm, spicy, tobacco, lemon peel, little peat and smoke

My taste is a question, but you are not the answer. Smell of incense causes extreme comfort, and 46% of the abv can be so solid that it is far beyond my expectation, but unfortunately it is the style orientation that has felt the ceiling.
    • Nose
The collision of Scottish old-fashioned sherry and oriental spices, the symphony of farm peat and oily nuts.

Cream Sherry, hawthorn date cake, pomegranate, red fruit, toffee, honeycomb.
Wet peat, land, straw, iodine water, camphor pills, table salt, vanilla, Yanshan chestnut.
Spices, honeysuckle, jasmine, roselle slices, fireworks, pepper, raw ham, compound licorice slices, cinnamon, ginger syrup.
The majestic atmosphere of Brora 40 + the spicy stimulus of Talisker 1981 + the oily and sweetness of Glenugie Ses is the shock when the Byzantine Empire saw the camel bell full of spices, gunpowder and silk from the Silk Road.
    • Taste
Sweet and sour low-grade grape juice, oranges, fruit herbal tea, followed by more intense pepper and sea salt, the kind of leather and earthy flavor brought by heavy peat is very distinctive, the end is honey, dried fruit, walnut, Sawdust, solid black and oak.

Stronger, richer fat, slightly sweet, slightly sour, with tannin, almost no bitter bottom.
    • Finish
For a long time, then plum plum, cigar, cinder, black chocolate, herbal tea, shredded coconut, shredded ginger.

  3. Baanaanaabob scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

Toffee with some tropical fruits, delicate farmy peat, crystallised sugar, a hint of toffee, vanilla, excellent

  4. detachedblue scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

A great sherry-peater, may not be the best Longrow with tons of tropical fruits.
    • Nose
Wow! Hawthorn jam, heavy smoke, iodine, top-tier sherry, very herbal and medicinal, some muds, very farmy. Such another excellent sherry-peat combo!
    • Taste
Rich and mellow, a lot of sherry and dark chocolates, dried apricots and raisins.
    • Finish
Medium to long, very minty, still a lot of sherry.

  5. helmutgw scored this whisky 93 points Expert Senior

+ H2O: be careful here - the dram is getting too thin; but reward: some fruit and old bottle flavor come to the fore, the nose becomes salty That's a very respectable torn whisky 04.03.2017 93
    • Nose
F: bright chestnut needs start-up, then aromas fireworks: subtle, unobtrusive phenol in various forms - peat, tar, medical; light sherry sweetness and seasoning - mixed pickles?
    • Taste
light body, taste as above, but the nose is better; with some bacon and alcohol in front of a sherry background
    • Finish
      long, bitter
