The nose gives a well balanced Bowmore. It’s very fruity, fresh, herbal and complex. It’s very gentle. The peat is complimentary to the rest. This is what Bowmore is known for and good at. It’s of the friendliest peated whiskies comming from Islay. Ripe fruits and oak spices. The refill casks adds subtle nutty notes. I get salted macadamia’s.
Well matured on the palate. Sweet and sour. Subtle dried red fruits and again nuttiness. Green leaves, oak and peat.
Long. Nice balance between peat and fruits. Also nuttiness is present.
It is a good dram, but when taking the price in consideration this is to expensive for what you get. For approximately €200 there are way better whiskies out there.
