Whisky Reviews for Aultmore 2008 WCh

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.82 points

  1. schero scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

The alcohol is already squeezing, but a few drops of water soften it. Although I personally like the undiluted punch better.

Thank you for the bottle Fabian :-)
    • Nose
      89 89
Thick vanilla, citrus, a bit mineral, the spirit comes through very pleasantly but clearly, some wood, black bread
    • Taste
      87 87
Again direct vanilla, then nice punch of the alcohol and it gets slightly chocolaty, very sweet with time,
    • Finish
      87 87
Chocolate finish, with plenty of pressure from the alcohol

Okay, but too sharp. 71 points.
    • Nose
The alcohol is neat. Intense vanilla. Cheese that quickly gains in intensity. Some wood.
Water : It gets softer, citrus flavors come through and cloves.
    • Taste
Sweet. Here, too, the alcohol tingles quite nicely. I do call it sharp. Vanilla beans.
Water : Soft and discreetly spicy.
    • Finish
Medium long and very sweet. Something metallic.
