A fantastically clean and interesting laddie. To be honest one of the best I’ve had - age and price be damned. I keep thinking about this whisky because it brings a very interesting discussion. Is any 12 year old whisky worth this price? $290cad (€191). Sure, it’s better than many $300+ whiskies I’ve had, but what about this commands the price? Surely if a whisky is this good age should not matter. We are not talking about a Port Ellen, or even Port Charlotte, just a plain old Laddie. A great one, but still... I digress...
A great bottle and frankly one I will remember for a long time.
Creamy, waxy, minerals, dried autumn leaves, lemon candy, pinecones, classic bruichladdich if there ever was one.
Waxy, great viscous mouthfeel, crushed rocks, minerals, lemon, mint
Soft minerals, lemon drops, oily, medium-short finish
