Very creamy, pleasant vanilla sweetness, sweet nut notes, some caramel pudding, very delicate and soft smoke, very slightly mineral, a hint of maritime notes. A very flattering Laphroaig! Smoked hazelnut shells, sweet roasted grain, some smoked bacon. Over time, the maritime note increases, as does the mineral note. There is also a campfire and very dry chocolate.
    • Taste
      89 89
Strongly maritime, also strong smoke, plus dry chocolate and mineral notes. Then you find a nice flattering sweetness that turns into lemon candy. This is followed by tangy light fruits and a nice campfire / BBQ note. Smoked lemon sorbet.

Tip: Keep it in the mouth for a long time, then you will be rewarded with great, sweet citrus aromas.
    • Finish
      89 89
Voluminous and extremely flattering smoke, plus a fantastic sweetness with a slight hint of vanilla. Sweet lemon candies with very delicate maritime notes in the background. Brilliant!

Second sip: Much stronger and more maritime, just as spicy and ashier.

    CASK No. 29.240
    Old & dignified

    Seventh Heaven
Settling back in a comfortable old rocking chair at night looking up at the stars and time became irrelevant. The alluring aroma was simply sublime with the finest Iberian ham (jamón ibérico de bellota), hand-rolled Cuban cigars, Italian calf shell cordovan oxford brogue shoes and Russian Beluga caviar. When we took the first sip it felt like seeing a shooting star or even better gazing in amazement at the spectacle known as Aurora Borealis. With a drop of water we were in seventh heaven, hearing the angels playing the clarsach and desperately trying to get a part of their share.
