    Too heavy on the alcohol and the harsh sherrynotes. Not focussed enough on time and slow maturation. Difficult to find something cheaper in this class, but i would go for a A'bunadh/ Glendronach CS etc.
    • Nose
      Huge attack of alcohol. Simple and lots of sharp edges. Some raisins, pudding and orange.
    • Taste
      Very peppery and a big wave of alcohol. Cake with raisins and chocolate. Chocolate biscuits and cinnamon buns. Cooked grains.
    • Finish
      Long on the peppers/ spices and some hot chocolate.

      Equally solid alcohol, red fruit, raisins, dark chocolate. Also some spicy, cinnamon or nutmeg.
    • Taste
      Full, and surprisingly soft for the high Abv. Chocolate, coffee, red fruit, also some caramel now.
    • Finish
      Pretty long, spicy, chocolate, raisins, coffee.

    quite heavy and intens on the alcohol and cask, therefor quite shouty, could have used some more calm and elegance.

    Just a good and decent tasty sherried whisky!

      High in alcohol, but a clear sherry finish is noticable. Loads of red fruit and raisins.
      With water it get's to the more savory side of sherried whisky, which I like

      Rather smooth! Sweet red fruits, candies with red berry taste. There is some freshness in the background.
      With water: More spices, yet the original taste is still there
    • Finish

      Medium-long length. Again quite some good sherry influences. Hints of leather and a fair share of red fruit.
      With water: Not much of a change here.

    A blend of good and bad whisky.

      Cherry, apple, minerals, fig and a whiff of caramel.
    • Taste

      Cherry, schnapps, apple, caramel, smoke, mocha and cigar. Mature and immature notes combined. Water tears down the mature notes, not an improvement.
    • Finish

      Mocha, apple, peat ash, cherry, caramel, fig liquor and grains.
