Gueuze beer breakfast
A youthful vigour greeted the panel’s noses at first. Quickly followed by baskets of oranges, mint choc chip ice cream, Geuze beer, gorse and salted caramel. Water brought forth notes of sourdough starter, coal smoke, mashed banana, grapes crushed on their stems and white bread. We found the palate hot at first and alive with drier notes of crushed aspirin and buttered porridge followed by fig rolls and residual brown sugar. Reduced it became more herbal with soft fruits, gooseberry sorbet, wood char and drying cinnamon. A slap of coastal zing sends you on your way...
