Whisky Reviews for Black Loch Dhu 10-year-old
2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 81.00 points
- To be honest I was expecting this to be the same as the regular Loch Dhu (ID 57815) but I noticed that it is fresher, more intense and has more fruitiness. It has also 43% abv instead of just 40% abv like the regular bottling which could make a positive difference. Anyhow I thin kthis one is quite drinkable.
OK, this is like Fernet Branca but I like that. Thus still 81 points.
Aceto balsamico (black vinegar), citric, black currant, also some woody notes
Creamy, little acidity, woody notes, toffee, burnt sugar, espresso, tarry notes, cooked oranges, jam, subtle sweetness
Medium long, warm, a tad bitter
