In the mouth, a peppery spiciness from the alcohol develops, which settles a little with the addition of water and makes the whisky very soft. Behind it are dark red fruits.
The medium-long finish adds even bitter notes that are reminiscent of coffee and leaves a certain dryness in the mouth.
Length: 4/10
A few more years would look good on the whisky and prevent the bubbly notes, overall solid dram, which, however, gambled away much of its potential.
