light fruit notes, somehow dull and meaningless.
    there is not much.
    a bit young...

    broken sample or irrelevant malt...

Bruichladdich 10 years, 43% alc. Original bottling (1980s). Expansion: unknown

Nose: I notice tropical fruits, a little pineapple and a lot of honeydew melon. In addition, mild peach aromas, very little malt and a breeze of salty sea air. Behind it there are oatmeal biscuits with vanilla.

Palate: Fruity and at the same time very dry. Honeycomb and shortbread, oats and caramel, granola. Everything much stronger and more concentrated than in the nose. Plus oysters and sea salt.

Finish: Medium length, continues as on the palate, pleasantly sweet and dry.

Conclusion: Gorgeous Bruichladdich from the old school. Wonderfully balanced between fruit and sea salt. 86/100 points (2021)

Very nice and good earlier standard, the fruits could be a bit more prominent, maybe. they were at the end of the 80s. ;)
    • Nose
Ah, typical Laddie notes of vanilla on the nose, pecans, macadamia, marzipan, white chocolate, buttery, parmesan, a little flower meadow in between, just a hint of old bottle notes on the nose
    • Taste
Hui, strong start for 43%, apricot with kernels, linen towels, papyrus, marzipan, a hint of metallic and a little more old bottle flavor, behind it are the probably more distinctive tropical fruits of papaya, star fruit and a little hint of passion fruit, vanilla, Fennel, white pepper
    • Finish
Light, fresh malt is added, white pepper, young oak, paper, medium length

"A 1980s distillery bottling of 10 year old Bruichladdich, packaged in a rather nice blue ceramic decanter."
