Whisky Reviews for Chieftain's 2004 IM

  1. Querky scored this whisky 89 points Expert Junior

My guess would be a well-sherried Tamdhu, but who knows? All in all a very drinkable, yet complex whisky with an excellent sherry maturation. Well done, Ian Macleod!
    • Nose
      88 88
Sweet barley, combined with stewed dark fruit, resulting in a heavy sweetness. Notes of fresh leather evolve with a certain spiciness.
    • Taste
      90 90
Just like the nose, now with raisins and a more dominant spiciness.
    • Finish
      88 88
Sweet, fine hints of Oloroso, very quaffable, dangerous!
