Well, this whisky is far from being a masterpiece, however, it is not only crap. Something very rough and interesting is in there as well ...

A lot of bitter herbs, typical for young german whiskies from my point of view. Some coal, some syrup, some almond. Maybe caramel toffee and mature pear. Also some leather. There are some fruits from the sherry cask, but the other aromas just dominate. A bit musty like wet earth. Crazy stuff.
    • Taste
      70 70
Dry, rough and very bitter. A lot of powerful taste for 43 Vol.%. Very herbal and bitter wood, just a hint of vanilla. Earth and leather again.
    • Finish
      75 75
Bitter and dry. Dark cocoa beans, intense oak. A tiny bit of gentle sweetness appears, roasted (burnt) nuts, almond and some butter. After some time it leaves the taste of radish ...

I´ve had my fair share of continental european whiskys and most of them had this typical schnapps flavors to it. However you could recognize they were whiskys after all. But not with this one. This is pure schapps. Maybe a good one if you like grain schnapps, I don´t know. But I don´t care either. I care for whisky!

How shall I rate this "whisky"? I don´t know. Maybe 25 points for effort and a nicely designed bottle. The nose was kinda interesting as well.
    • Nose
Grainy right from the start. Lots of alcohlic, bitter grains. I would never have guessed this one to be a whisky after all. Not even a continental european one. Appears more like a wood matured grain schnapps. If you are able to put these aromas aside, you might find some caramel and fruits. Since I don´t like schnapps at all, I just can´t...
    • Taste
Hell no. Awfull! Pure grainy alcohol. In which world is this allowed to be called whisky? Sorry, but I won´t take a second sip of that.
    • Finish
Fades away pretty quickly, thank god.
