Bottle claims - heather honey, rich fruit cake, aromatic peat.
My findings are that this seems less sherried than in the past. There is some peatiness for sure, but the whole deal is quite course compared to the past in my mind. The honey heather characteristic is still there, but it is kind of hiding behind those rough peat elements. You would definitely guess that this was a higher abv if you tasted it blind. Definitely not as harmonious as previous bottlings, so down a few points for me.
Edit: Revisit with a new bottle two years later. Enjoying this a little more this time. Honey and sherry and light peat. Nice. Toss up between this one and the 10yo as to which one I enjoy more.
