This is a wonderful dram, seriously. It is complex, well-behaved, no sharp edges, no overpowering smells or taste, it all adds up.
    • Nose
Aah, this smells like proper old stuff. There is a dominance of a rather bold maltiness. It brings together many sides: dough, pollen, barley corns, even some hessian, honey and beeswax. There is a fresh fruitiness behind it, mostly on lemon. Yet the wood gives this nose it's uniqueness, with coconut, a tiny bit of vanilla, and a wonderful complex spiciness.
    • Taste
Wonderfully balanced. It's ABV seems perfect here. It makes this whisky not too acrid, yet powerful enough. It leaves room for both roundness and spices. Taste wise, the malt stays at the front, but is almost overtaken by more (desired) fragrant notes of fruit and flowers. Think of peach, mango, even lychee, and heather. Towards the end, the spices give way to a mildly bitter finale.
    • Finish
The finish is long and lingering, perfectly balanced between sour, sweet and bitter. The fruit is not getting away, by all means. It forms a joyful combination with coconut and allspice.

Inchgower Nov / 1974 - June / 2000 25yo Douglas Laing OMC 700ml 50% vol. 234btls. JIS It is not easy to relax in the cup of the end, Inchgower 1974! Color: A surprising refreshing lemon squash. Nose: No soy sauce Gish there is a surprising nice? Attack: There is no aroma, citrus fruits in cold wheat and Somen. Where is OMC's rotation around here? It also has a flavor of it, it is interesting.Of course, it seems that I was helping a lot of perspiration because the outside temperature was high when walking to BAR Body: thin both inside and outside! Nuance of vinegar than soy sauce Taste: Dashi is not like As if it is lemon gush Banff.Yunoki type Japanese food.Taste of early summer when you eat olive oil on Zaru tofu.It eaten for the first time Feeling that the soy sauce gish ramen became thin. When time passed, I felt refreshing feeling of eating with a salmon on udon and a quiet dashi.I do not think of citrus pyiri, I want to drink a cocktail's white lady Finish discreet Bonito bonito.Lemon peel and lemon-flavored cold lemon flavor: After eating lobster with peppery feel, it is not a roaring taste, but after all Inchgower is a favorite person. https://whisky2010.usukeba.com/u/whisky2010/1fyhars3wz6y57
