Whisky Reviews for Ballechin 2007 SV
2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.83 points
- A heavily peated Edradour/ Ballechin that hides behind the rum cask finish. Not very complex but it does the job. Give it enough time in the glass (20-30 minutes) to develop.
Not overly peaty, would have guessed this was Edradour on the nose alone. Probably the rum toning things down a bit. So, fruity, grainy and barley sugar
Needs water as it's above 60%abv, dry arrival continuing throughout the development, with hints of citrus, peat, a bit of wood bitterness and grainy notes
Dry, medium long, ashy, wood. The least interesting part of this whisky.
