They were probably also blind when they bottled. Somebody definitely confused the Ledaig with the Ardbeg barrel - with the better end for me;)
Seriously: A great South Islay style whisky. Heavy, earthy, lemon with very nice maritime notes.
Smell the first time: Is that Ardbeg ?! Smoky and peaty, lemon, iodine, vanilla, sea breeze, in the far background the Ledaig cowshed
Definitely! They dumped Ardbeg in the bottle and sold it as Ledaig. Warm, earthy and salty peat, wonderfully creamy, oily, vanilla, medicinal, lemon, fresh seafood, the alcohol is cleanly integrated.
It delivers what the nose promises in the mouth.
