NOSE: Roasted nuts, toasted sugar, muscovado sugar, maple syrup, dried red fruits, browned butter, heather honey. (90-91p)
TASTE: Intense, very concentrated, sherried. Fairly dry. Lots of dried fruits mixed with lots of old wood notes. Powerful yet quite well composed. Loads of sherried dried fruitiness, almost syrupy intensity without being cloying. Lovely stuff. (92p)
FINISH: Intense, concentrated, honey, baking spices. Long aftertaste. (91p)
OVERALL: A lovely, concentrated and kind of old school (what is that really?) sherried whisky. TOTAL SCORE 91 points.
