Smoky, sweet, spicy, salty popcorn
A sweet floral slightly herbal peat smoke wafted out of the glass like singed gorse and lavender bushes next to a buttery fish smoke of grilled kippers and pan-seared scallops with lemon. The taste neat initially had plenty of smoke and salty seawater whilst in the finish hickory smoked almonds and star anise. When adding water we grilled pork sausages with pepper and sage over an open fire using driftwood and peat. On the palate we were now roasting marshmallows whilst eating a bowl of peat smoked, honey sweetened, cayenne pepper spiced and sea salted popcorn making this a truly moreish experience.
