    If this catches me on the right day, then that's clearly 90 points. Luckily, there are only few days when I'd like to get run over by a truck. This is for advanced drinkers!
    And it should be obvious, but let me emphasize it: You can't drink a mellow malt after this.

    Explosive mix of peaty smoke, manure, acetone, paint, creosote, gum! Extremely strong with very long finish.

    I really liked it (but I really like PC). Is more of a direct malt. Even for Port Charlotte relationships. You have to like that. Certainly not a subtle malt. Of course there are PCs with more depth. If you want to get a bit rough, you will not be disappointed.
    • Nose
      The typical, often herbal, smoke of PC. Here he is a little fresher and still has mineral notes in it. Then grilled meat with a fruity barbecue sauce. Smoked. Raspberry. Strawberry.
      With water, the smoke is not so fresh.
    • Taste
      Sweeter than in the nose. The fruits now rather in the form of jam. Only now does the alcohol become noticeable. Now he pushes neatly. The smoke is fuller, but not stronger, but darker than in the nose. Beef from the smoker, which was prepared with mustard and a nice BBQ-rub. Smoldering campfire.
    • Finish
      The fruits are fading and are now becoming more sour. It remains fleshy. Now it goes in the direction of cold smoked meat. Something fresh asphalt.

    Standing at least 20 minutes is a must.
    Nose: strange, but the smell of old molts ... Paper library (closet + paper + dust), iodine, wine, sea pebbles, a fortress is felt - quite alcoholic
    Taste: sherry, strong, powerful, ruminant, tar, wax, smoky ... Will go to all lovers of sherry extracts.
    Aftertaste: anesthesia, iron, iodine, astringent resin

    Cool nose, not too alcoholic, sea, salty, peat, dried fruits, orange peel
    Sweet, spiced, very tasty molt
    The finish is long, a lot of spices, dried apricot and wine notes

    Cool balanced molt, and do not feel that so strong

    The Port Charlotte 2003/2016 by Rest and Be Thankful is a peaty whisky with floral and fruity notes. This single cask bottling was distilled in 2003 and matured in barrel # 640. In 2016, 298 bottles were filled at a drum thickness of 61.7%.
    • Nose
      Strong, peaty notes combined with fruity and floral aromas.
    • Taste
      balanced, with aromas of spices and ripe fruits.
    • Finish
      spicy. The addition of water causes peaty notes.
