Nose: Indian sweet masala spice is my first impression, vanilla custard, yellow fruits (plums and pears), some milk chocolate and some wood/meat stock.

Mouth: Quite dry and fragrant in the very first instance, medium spicy red chili, yellow plums, pears, walnuts, leather, some ginger, but everything rather hysteric, like actor Jack Lemon in the 60s movies, though with a firm body.

Adding water is not good and the dram loses about 5 points with me. The dryness felt in the mouth in the first instance turns very perfumy with added maltiness. Not much happening otherwise, expect the blossoming lavender.

Without water it is an interesting hysteric if not a little crazy dram. A difference that I welcome as I can't remember the last time I tasted this. But "no water" becomes a religion with this dram.

[February, 2018]  A quick review from a sample to get a first impression.

The colour is amber and the texture shows many small tears and medium fast legs.  The nose is quite punchy but after your olfactory cells adapted to this it offers various fruits (pears, peaches, quinces) and nuts (walnuts, hazel nuts).  Nonetheless it is a very shy.  It arrives in the mouth hot and not coating at all but no bitter or adstringent moments either.  The taste is rather shy and not really impressive as is the finish that is very peppery.  Water does not help to improve the dram - it stays shy and very closed.

I never was a Glen Scotia fan and most probably I never will be one...
