Interesting whiskey. Tastes very nice to Port. If your own distillates are just as good, you can look forward to it.
    • Nose
      82 82
Stone fruit (plum?), A bourbon touch penetrates through with a fine woody odor, above all a beautiful Portaroma
    • Taste
      84 84
cooked plum compote, a little spiciness, a very soft whiskey, also a trace of butter biscuit is tastable
    • Finish
      86 86
Beautiful long finish with a hint of fruit. At the end, the oak is balanced.

  2. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Surprisingly positive in the mouth, you can discover a lot, the finish is also beautiful astringent, pleases! Significant increase to NAS from Virgin Oak.
    • Nose
Maraschino liqueur, pickled cherries, toffee and a little honey, but all that rather reserved, cinnamon and some fennel, some tannins and leather, dark chocolate and cherry pits, Wekchen and fresh dough
    • Taste
Fresh cherry juice, a little unripe cherries, toffee and some white pepper, clove, nutmeg, fennel, some eucalyptus (the spicy and minty notes seem to be the distillery character), cherry pits, some red apple, grapefruit and some blood orange with time in the mouth nice fuller and also fruity with slight bitterness, the spicy parts go back, beautiful honey with oregano and thyme, malt, bread dough, but nice in the mouth for the%
    • Finish
Dry, malt, cherry pits, pepper and nutmeg, tea, bread dough, honey, medium to long

  3. Archer scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Blind one would not necessarily have to consider him an Irishman. The port barrel is perceptible, but not dominant. A slightly different Irishman ...
    • Nose
Pickled cherries, grape berries, slightly sour, but not unpleasant touch from the port barrel. Fresh wood shines through, now and then also the one or the other spice. Fresh bread dough with yeast.
    • Taste
Red fruits and surprisingly intense wood at the beginning. Dry. Caramel sweet, ginger, pepper.
    • Finish
Medium to short, still the red berries, herbs, some honey. Disappear quickly, leaving only cool menthol behind.
