Whisky Reviews for Glenkinchie 1974 GM

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.33 points

  1. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

One of the weakest brown labels from GM, they usually have quite a punch, the freshness with the age is nice, but if that were a current malt, it wouldn't get more points either.
    • Nose
Orange oil, lavender, noticeable lemon zest, grasses, white pepper, white grapefruit, camphor, light herb honey, thyme
    • Taste
Clear citric acid, even more than in the nose, very surprising for an old malt that was bottled so long ago, tangerine, white grapefruit, thyme, light malt, grasses, young oak, ginger, fresh camphor
    • Finish
Furthermore the malt, less acid and more going into the dry peel of the lemon, ginger, medium length
