At first I didn't like the butterscotchy thing on the nose but it went away and was not there on the palate - water recommended. Overall pretty OK.
    • Nose
      84 84
Butterscotch, sherry, vanilla, toffee, hints of leather, whiffs of heather, seabreeze
    • Taste
      86 86
Punchy, oily, creamy, liquorice, more leather notes, little peat, some seaweed, subtle sweetness, little fruitiness
    • Finish
      85 85
      Medium long, warm

Only short Notes. ..noise is the best...srong and spiritly taste and a rough finish...but good

Good, even appealing, how many HPs. A bank, so to speak. But no grenade. A little bit lacks the often beautiful honey sweetness of the HPs. Specifically, a bit more salt and sulfur than usual. Nevertheless, somehow a great HP from the sherry barrel, subtle and not exuberant.
    • Nose
Salt, coast, butterscotch with salt, sulfur, burned meat, ashes, smoke, dark honey, herbs, heather, sherry, oak.
    • Taste
Salt, smoke, heather, honey, herbs, lemon, pepper, fish, sulfur, match, ash, smoke, oak, dry. With water more oak or acid, barely or minimally sweet, still salty and dry.
    • Finish
Dry, lemon, oak, salt, smoke, ashes.

Without the sulfur, that would have been a 90-year candidate. Even with the bath gone nose, I like to give 87P.
    • Nose
Sulfur discovered at the first fouling → preventive left for longer now ~ 20min. He has then reduced to a vegetable broth note. Maybe a bit lazy orange. Subtle smoky and yellow fruit nose, herbs. Due to the sulfur, unfortunately, I still can not get through much. A touch of vanilla. More lazy orange with water. Uargh.
    • Taste
Without water he bites quite well. Typical sherry notes: oranges and plums, kräutriger smoke, soil, resin, undergrowth. Privet hedge, plant sections, a really voluminous thick and fat distillate. Mud, air after the rain, no sulfur. Fruit fruity, with the fruit interwoven smoke, less soil, more resin, a little salt?
    • Finish
Mint, oranges, fir honey, earth, spice rack, dried meadow in summer. Warm, long, excellent.
