Appearance: Medium honey golden orange. Oily and shiny.
Nose: Definitely bourbon like, with cherry, cinnamon, vanilla, oak. Not sure what the base was but it smells like a somewhat weak bourbon. Not bad.
Palate: Sharp grain bite, cinnamon, cherry, oak. Very boozy and quite bitter. Some vanilla, caramel.
Finish: Peppery, boozy, honey and caramel. Hot grain spirits.
With Water: Doesn’t really stand up to it. Sweeter, some cake spices.
Overall: Not terrible, but basically something like a somewhat decent bourbon. For the price of this, you would be better off getting a proper bourbon.
