Actually surprised by this one. Bought it as a fan of the series not really expecting anything else than a decent whisky for cocktails or my not so high standard whisky drinking friends. However, I actually enjoyed it and truly believe it wasn't halve bad. This is also a very good whisky for beginners, since it has an easy going profile and it's ridiculously smooth. Don't expect a sherry bomb or a very complex whisky but it's fine as it is, and I'm glad I bought a bottle. 80/100
    • Nose
Fresh red fruits, vanilla and caramel. Somewhat on the light side but enjoyable.
    • Taste
Taste is definitely vanilla, caramel up front. Again, a little light but enjoyable. A little later on the sherry influence definitely shines through with dates and raisins and it actually tastes really well when you roll it through your palate.
    • Finish
Wow! Suprised by the woody spicyness. A sherried sweet and balanced aftertaste but the spicyness is actually really enjoyable. The taste lingers on quite a bit as well with some quirky laurel liquorice notes.

Not bad for the money - not as smooth as the typical Irish whiskey.

    Not bad for the money.
    • Nose
      Dried fruit and soft leather
    • Taste
A little flat, burnt toffee with some underlying hints of pontefract cake.
    • Finish
      Medium - a pleasant aftertaste.

The scent is very fresh and fruity and promising, but unfortunately this whiskey can not live up to its taste. Flat, very soft, very accessible, but not at all challenging. The whole concept is absolutely fun, bottle looks nice, color of the whiskey too, but for a more experienced whiskydrinker this offers far too little.
    • Nose
Fruity and sweet, apples, honey, vanilla, some citrus too. Little Dreft scent, and detergent, floral. Very fresh.
    • Taste
Hm, suddenly not so fruity, but especially sweet, honey and vanilla. Very soft, fairly flat taste actually. There is still a little orange, but compared with the smell, this is very disappointing.
    • Finish
Somewhat short, wood tones, soft and sweet weather. Honey, some vanilla. Later there will still be a small tingle set up.
