  2. Don Cassi scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

Wow, what a nose: full, creamy, fruity, oriental-spicy, some lovage, some citrus fruit and something vegetable. Very interesting and independent.

In the mouth, despite the alcohol content, it is very soft and oily, yet intense and sweet and sour.

In the finish again very independent with similar associations as in the nose. There is also an aromatic oak note and some polish.
    Length: 6/10

Great barrel and very recognizable character. The alcohol is also perfectly integrated.

    Note 1-

  3. Numwierum scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Smell: Sweet, raisins, candied apple, a slight acidity sets in, limes behind a lot of caramel, subtle hazelnut, very dry.
Taste: Sweet and dry, dried fruits, fine citrus notes emerge, orange peel, honey, pepper, very oily and still dry.
Finish: Medium length, milk chocolate, slightly bitter and dried wood.
Conclusion: Fine, subtle and dry sherry aromas characterize this whisky. Very straight forward. Despite the very young age, he does not appear young and out of round. It tastes really good to me.

Appealing, but a bit snappy and not really tame even with water. The salt almond nose is still the best. Overall, it remains somewhat one-dimensional.

The nose is versatile and varied and, for me, clearly ahead. On the palate rather entertaining. Find it well done - 12/11/2020

Wow, the first impression on the nose is very sweet, chewing gum, thinks directly of Hubba Bubba, the alcohol has strength and tingles in the nose, vanilla, salt and caramel, pistachio, citrus fruits of the bitter variety, lime zest, raisins, dried fruits, tipsy fruits, yes the alcohol is very present but not unpleasant, milk chocolate, the wood note is very weak in the background, after a long time in the glass it becomes very harmonious with sweet malt spice
    • Taste
      86 86
The sweetness is also very present here, very oily and creamy, the alcohol strikes and tingles intensely, very spicy and woody, bitter citrus aromas
    • Finish
      86 86
      Medium length

great funky combination between caramel, and loads of fruity goodness, on the nose caramel sea salt with some chocolate edge. a really breaks it open. vanilla and orange zest reveal themselves with some more air and time.

Pleasantly delicious malt. Next to the PLV, the nose is one of the best here. The aromas get a little lost on the palate.
    • Nose
      87 87
oily, soft on the nose, the first smell is slightly sprittig, but goes away quickly, vanilla and dried fruit after raisins, plums, and dates are dominant, there are also slightly salty, slightly sour grapefruit / citrus notes, fresh spruce wood / pine wood, alcohol is noticeable but not very pronounced, but could be better integrated, slightly spicy oak notes with a chocolatey touch, malty,
    • Taste
      85 85
powerful start, a lot of peppery spice, alcohol presses even more on the tube, in addition there is a light honey sweetness and juicy, ripe fruit like oranges, apricots, light grapes, vanilla,
A little water opens it up nicely and lets the aromas come out better, but at the same time makes it look a bit immature
    • Finish
      84 84
Medium-long finish, a bit drier with oranges, toffee, sweet vanilla and slightly salty, oak spices are slightly bitter,

I'm generally not a big fan of finishes. This also somehow doesn't fit. As if the malt didn't know where to go from.

  10. Issie did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

He is really special. I can understand that some like it. Mine is not quite somehow
    • Nose
A full load of dried fruit, some sulfur and a little honey, spices

I do not get any more. The dried fruits are so dominant and rethink everything else
    • Taste
Honey, dried fruit, lime, wood, pepper

After 2 min in the glass, raisin in the face. Find him also very creamy.

  12. Totoro scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Flawless bone-dry Manzanilla character combined with thick, juicy, jammy fruits and chewy, sweet spirit. Chockfull of raisins. A real surprise at this age.

Really great surprise of these drops - if you like dry sherry and fudge you will live in these drops. He could also scare off some.
    • Nose
      90 90
Salt caramel, vanilla, citrus, chalk, a little olive oil, dry sherry sweetness (grapes and raisins) and light acidity, light alcohol (has power of the drops) but not disturbing, wood is also only discreet
    • Taste
      88 88
Strong and full, sweet and juicy, lots of caramel and vanilla, sugared lemons, oranges and slightly spicy wood.
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium-long and dry with orange juice, fudge and salty mineral notes as well as some black pepper, oak is now also there with a slight bitterness. The sweet fudge is very dominant.
