I feared the many wine casks would shoot this malt to all corners of the compass, but they did not. Au contraire. The flavors are well integrated and the ABV is just fine. Lovely, new Jura.
    • Nose
Well, this nose is certainly promising. Delicious peach and freshly cut grass, marzipan and apricot pastry. Sultanas. Bright with a sweet side and even a touch of smoke. Very nice.
    • Taste
It is not as fruity on the palate as the nose promised, but still nicely round and spicy on cinnamon and ginger. A touch of yellow stone fruit and brown sugar, peach and candied orange peel. Toffee. It works.
    • Finish
The finish is just shy of long, but very tasty with a soft sweetness. At the death I suddenly get a salty note and some… errrr…. Truffle oil! Well done!

A blends that make up from Ex-bourbon, limousine with another five different types of oak (Tronçais, Allier, Jupilles, Les Bertranges from Loire, and Vosges from Alsace region), supposedly all were held with french red /white wine previously. Appreciate the details.  Cut grass, vanilla, raisin and marzipan, so this is quite sweet from the bouquet. Sugar sphere with cinnamon, ginger spice with wisp of black coffee on palate, suit those with sweet tooth.  Medium, toffee sweet, nice salted truffle butter, mild and mellow.
