Whisky Reviews for Glamis 12-year-old

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 80.50 points

  1. holborndrinker scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

An undisclosed blend but almost certainly Speyside from the taste - well worth a punt if you see one lying unloved on an auction website (I expect His Lordship has long since knocked this batch out).

  2. holborndrinker scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

The style is Speyside - like a Glenfarclas and not bad especially when it was as cheap as chips.
    • Nose
A pleasant nose with a slightly elusive note - a gentle nuttiness or wood almost?
    • Taste
The style is of a sherry base rather than bourbon with some sweet notes coming through - no particular heat to this one.
    • Finish
Not as smooth as an Irish, but there are no rough edges - I wonder if a life time in a bottle has affected the taste slightly to its detriment.
