Sweet, not grotesque Ledaig, the 1st fill sherry is hid. Great value for money.
    • Nose
Pear, apple, camphor, peat, orange peel and salted caramel.
    • Taste
Powerful, sweet and creamy. Apple, tangerine and orange. Peat and salted caramel. Ginger and mint.
    • Finish
      Long, sweet, spicy.

Price performance ok. I had hoped for something more filthy. Overall, a gratifying bottling.
    • Nose
Smoke is only pleasantly covered. Including nice dirty citrus and caramel tones. Cowshed on the coast, light tingling in the nose, but pleasant.
    • Taste
Since the alcohol is very powerful. Creamy structure and tingle on the tongue. Again, citrus, sweet and dry at the same time. Smoke even more discreet than in the nose.
    • Finish
Aisle and tart. Warming and slightly bitter at the end.

Whiskyream.de has rated: Ledaig Cask Strength 2004-2017 The peated Tobermory is a marriage of the two First Fill sherry barrels No. 16600504 and 16600505. Full golden in the glass and directly typical Ledaig-smokey (ham) in the nose, without acting too dominant. This is accompanied by the scent of citrus fruits. A few drops of water make the powerful whisky blossom! The smell of pickled dark fruits is reminiscent of a rum pot. Light forest fruits, especially blackberries, are added. The smell of citrus is no longer present. In the background, the smoke accompanies the beautiful, dark aromas all the time. (87) The taste of the whisky remains in a positive sense on the dark side. Dark fruits, cocoa, chocolate, smoke and very round. Imagine a chocolate sauce with high cocoa content and ripe blackberries, garnished with a dash of citrus and harmoniously surrounded by smoke. (89) The finish is long lasting and warming. You can tell the cask strength, but it also remains chocolaty-creamy and smoky-woody-dry. (88.5) Overall rating: 88 points www.whiskydream.de
