This malt is something completely different. No gentleman as you know it from the Glengoyne 21er OA. He immediately presses on the tongue and is strong. Even a few drops of water do not change that. You have to add quite a bit of water to mitigate the Malt. My recommendation, a teaspoon of water on 2cl and he is perfect. Best whisky in spring 2018
    • Nose
What a start. At first I also thought it was an alcoholic strength, but after a while this turned out to be a spicy note that can only come on tap. The distillery character of Glengoyne is another. Once you get used to the spiciness, the malt becomes sweet and fruity. Sweet fruits and the wine barrel can be seen very clearly. Raisins and oranges come through
    • Taste
What a start !! Spices and a load of wood! Very dry like a mature red wine. Honey and cherries are added. Very oily and over and over again these spices.
    • Finish
The finish is long and dry. On the tongue, these fruity notes are paired with dryness.

Very interesting. Delicious. The nose, however, is a bit too alcoholic for me and has a bit of fruit acidity. The palate is brilliant and confident the finish. 88 points.
    • Nose
unfortunately to start a Alcoholic Sting. That settles quickly. Fresh fruits come in the nose. Strawberries, oranges, apple. In addition comes immediately also spicy oak and wine-soaked leather. Pistachios and cashews. Deadly honey. The wood becomes more dominant, it gets drier and spicier. Some hay. And also the alcohol stands out every now and then. Rosemary chocolate. Tree bark. Forest berries with noticeable fruit acid.
    • Taste
Sweet, vinous and full. Honey melon, strawberries and with delay the whole load of wood. The honey is more intense, leather is added and the Nachschmecken is dominated by leathery, bergorenem fruit. Blueberries.
    • Finish
      Very long, musty-leathery and warm.

A whisky "pleasure", not ultra complex but very drinkable! Tasted blind. Enthusiasm 4/5 Whisky n ° 1615
    • Nose
A little sulfur, then sweet, chocolate, caramel sauce. Some surprising notes aniseed.
    • Taste
Round (almost too much!), Just spicy. Rich and unctuous.
    • Finish
In the right line of the mouth.

Nose: Slightly buttery, some wood, fruit, raisins.
Taste: A little dry from the first sip. In the background, of course, noticeable fruit. A bit peppery. Perceptible oak. Medium-strength aroma.
Rating: 86 | 100 Finish relatively short, with a sherry profile and some chocolate.

Great Glengoyne ... a successful wine experiment for me. Glengoyne's character remains, but is nicely rounded off by the wine barrel.

      Nice soft, sweet start.
Great honey note. Light menthol fresh,
In addition dark fruits, strawberries plums. Raisins and figs gradually come through and then give way to a spicy note of wood.
Above all lies a sour fruit component. Weinfass comes through nicely. Great harmonious nose.
    • Taste
      87 87
Spicy, slightly hot start. Alcohol is already squeezing properly. Honey is there, plus a few fruits. The EichenWürze is more dominant. Some leather / tobacco comes through. Can quite tolerate some water.
    • Finish
      85 85
Departure relatively short. Chocolate, slightly bitter and dry. Sweet pales draughty.
