    Nose

Initial hit of delicate highland peat, strong maritime characteristics followed by chocolate and some red fruit and melon. I like this nose a lot.

    Taste

Chocolatey, chilli and nutmeg, honey with quite well balanced oak. quite a strong alcohol burn.

FinishVERY biscuity and quite salty on the end with some nice smoke.

CommentsThe nose is the victor here, the palate is tasty, but a little unrefined and the alcohol could be better integrated. Adding water seems to give it better balance but causes the nose to dissipate somewhat.
