  1. AngeloMerten scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

After some time I have a grain in my glass again. The last one I was allowed to taste was the Golden Grain 1964, which really inspired me.
    • Nose
      85 85
In the first nose, the alcohol tickles a bit, then dates in a chocolate coat, amaretto, almonds and some furniture polish to the fore. In the background there is an adhesive note that does not quite fit into the overall picture.
    • Taste
      83 83
Strong start, you taste the oak, which is getting drier. Sultanas, toffee, nutmeg and light gingerbread spices spread in the mouth.
The alcohol is a bit intrusive.
    • Finish
      84 84
      Short to medium.
      Rum raisins and dark chocolate.
The oak comes to the fore, spicy and dry.
