- He definitely needs his time, but he can really deliver. No standard material, but quite complex without being overstrained.
Notes from a blind tasting.
At 25, I would not have expected, although it explains a lot. Very good barrel.
Immediately after pouring very strong on the nose. Caramel, malt and orange peel. The alcohol is biting something in the nose. After life much quieter, ginger and now ripe oranges. Also buttery fruit notes, slightly fermented. It warms up very fat, the alcohol gets a bit uncomfortable. Too much heat leaves the bouquet fall apart, leaving only caramel and a peculiar acidity.
In the mouth, first extremely sweet and then there's a full broadside ginger. In the second sip comes out clearly oak. Grapefruitzeste.
The finish is relatively unspectacular. Simple fading, a pudding-like sweetness remains medium. Correction, on the second sip there is already much more, the oak now lays down again in the finish.
deep, floral, some wonderful fruity notes, somehow exotic kind of banana, coco, vanilla, i recognized the age instantly
sweet, wood, peach, incredibly complex
really long, intense in fruits
